There were so many people who tried and audition when the movie "Super Eight" was shoot here in our city a few months back. The production company set up different acting audtions for the local residents to try out. My niece-in-law's daughter also tried out for it. She passed the first and second round but did not make it to the final cut. There were just too many competitions and she wasn't lucky to get picked. When I hear about open casting calls, it always reminds me of my first intent to audition for the choir in the school where I attended College. The school was offering scholarship then for those who can sing. I wanted to try out but every time I had to come in the AVHall, I always backed out because I wasn't courageous enough to sing in front of those panel who determine if you qualify or not. I still got my scholarship but in other way, I worked at the Finance Office and I am glad that I waited for the right stuff for me. I know that I can sing a little but I am not that good so it wasn't my calling I guess. I came across a website where you can post your portfolio and you can check out some events where you can try free casting calls. Talent Jug helps those hopefuls and talented individuals to be recognized by some talent scouts. They provide casting calls list and other pertinent information that you need when looking for some talent agency. You may check it out by visiting the link above for more details. You ca also read their latest blog posts to see what are the trendy news and other things that involves the said subject. So if you have what it takes to shine, check them out and be recognized.
